Boundaries & Confidentiality
Confidentiality is taken seriously and maintained at all times, unless there is a risk of serious harm to you or others, or where there is a legal or ethical requirement to share information.
If a situation arises where confidentiality may need to be broken, I will always aim to discuss this with you first, wherever possible.
Therapy is not always the most appropriate support for every situation. If I feel a different type of support would be more helpful, I will discuss this with you openly and with care.
Client notes and information are stored securely using BAC-PAC, a dedicated clinical platform, in line with professional and data protection requirements. All information is held in accordance with the professional and ethical frameworks of BABCP, BACP, and COSRT, and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you have any questions or concerns about how your data is handled, please contact me directly. You are also entitled to contact the ICO at ico.org.uk should you wish to seek further guidance.
