Services
I offer online psychotherapy for adults and couples, with a specialist focus on psychosexual and relationship therapy.
My work draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including integrative counselling, CBT, and EMDR, tailored to what you need rather than a one-size-fits-all method.
All of my work is trauma-informed, with careful attention to your emotional, relational, and sexual wellbeing, areas that are deeply connected, and often central to the difficulties that bring people to therapy.
Therapy is offered in a steady and grounded way, without pressure. Sessions are shaped around your needs and paced thoughtfully, creating space to explore what's happening for you, and what might help things feel different over time.
Before We Begin
Before starting ongoing sessions, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, a chance to explore what you're looking for, ask any initial questions, and get a feel for whether we might be a good fit. There's no obligation on either side.
Psychosexual Therapy
Psychosexual therapy, sometimes referred to as sex therapy, offers a space to explore sexual and intimate difficulties within the wider context of your emotional life, relationships, and personal history. Sexual concerns are rarely isolated. They are often shaped by experiences, beliefs, relational patterns, and the ways we have learned to cope with stress or vulnerability.
I work with both individuals and couples. People may come with long-standing difficulties, or with concerns that have emerged following life events, transitions, or periods of emotional strain.
What psychosexual therapy can help with:
Emotional or relationship difficulties affecting intimacy
Difficulties with sexual communication
Male sexual difficulties, including erection difficulties, rapid or delayed ejaculation, and reduced desire
Female sexual difficulties, including pain during penetration (such as dyspareunia or vaginismus), difficulty achieving orgasm, and reduced desire
Couples experiencing a mutual loss of desire
Mismatched sexual preferences or difficulty discussing sexual needs
Changes linked to childbirth, menopause, illness, ageing, or a history of sexual trauma
My approach is grounded in the understanding that sexual wellbeing is closely connected to emotional safety, relational dynamics, and the stories we carry about ourselves. I draw on psychodynamic, person-centred, and cognitive behavioural approaches to help clients make sense of their experiences, reduce distress, and develop more satisfying intimate relationships.
The work is collaborative, sensitive, and carefully paced, ensuring you feel supported as you explore what is happening for you, both sexually and emotionally.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a structured, evidence-based therapy that explores the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It can be particularly helpful for anxiety, low mood, worry, panic, and patterns that feel difficult to shift.
In our work together, we look at the beliefs and habits that may be keeping these difficulties in place, and develop practical strategies to support change. CBT is collaborative and goal-focused, with sessions paced carefully so the work feels manageable.
CBT may help with:
Anxiety and worry
Low mood and depression
Panic attacks
OCD
Stress and overwhelm
Low self-esteem and self-critical thinking
Sleep difficulties
Relationship and communication patterns
Sexual anxiety or performance concerns
It can be a good fit for those looking for clarity, structure, and a more active approach to therapy.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a trauma-informed therapy that supports the processing of distressing or overwhelming experiences. It can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, intrusive memories, low self-esteem, and situations where past events continue to affect the present.
EMDR does not require you to describe your experiences in detail. Instead, we work gently and safely to reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories, helping your mind process them in a more adaptive way. Sessions are structured, steady, and grounded in your sense of safety and readiness.
We begin by building stability and resourcing before any processing work begins. The pace is always guided by you.
EMDR is recognised by the NHS and the World Health Organisation as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD. It is also increasingly used for a wider range of difficulties where distressing experiences or memories are contributing to current struggles.
EMDR may help with:
Trauma and PTSD
Anxiety and panic
Intrusive thoughts or memories
Childhood experiences affecting adult life
Low self-esteem rooted in past experiences
Grief and loss
Sexual trauma
Integrative Counselling
Integrative counselling brings together different therapeutic approaches in a way that is tailored to you. Rather than working from a single model, the work is collaborative, with careful attention to what feels supportive, meaningful, and manageable at each stage.
This may involve exploring how past experiences shape the present, noticing patterns in relationships, or creating space to understand emotions with greater clarity and compassion. Sessions are paced carefully, with a focus on building a steady and trusting therapeutic relationship.
Integrative counselling can be particularly helpful when difficulties feel complex or don't fit neatly into one category, or when you are looking for a more open and exploratory approach to therapy rather than a structured or goal-focused one.
Integrative counselling may help with:
Anxiety and low mood
Relationship difficulties
Low self-esteem and confidence
Bereavement and loss
Life transitions and identity
Stress and emotional overwhelm
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Feeling stuck or unclear about the direction of your life
